I recently had the pleasure of working with Chris Wolff and the Wehr Team to sell an investment property. I was on a tight timeline due to imminent tax repercussions if not sold by a specific date as well as losing potential rental opportunities for the property during this time. I inherited my father’s work ethic and my mother’s personality. It proved to be a winning combination for what I set out to do in life, which was to be the real estate agent who made the American Dream come true for families, both personally and professionally.
I’ve always believed in the fact that when something’s good, you don’t mess with it. It’s the reason I stayed in the Metro Denver area after having grown up here. Not only do I love the people here and that mid-city feel, I love the fact that we’re so close to the mountains and surrounded by nature. I love camping, hiking, fishing and four-wheeling and living here allows me to do all of those things while performing my passion, which is helping people through real estate.
I always had that entrepreneurial spirit as a kid, mowing lawns and delivering newspapers in my suburban neighborhood. Even though my father was successful in the corporate world, I knew that corporate life was not for me. I didn’t want to work for someone else. I took business and investing courses in high school and pursued my college degree in accounting and finance, thinking I would become a school teacher like my mom, and then sell houses during the summer. But as I got closer to graduation, my passion for real estate grew and I decided to pursue it full time. I got my license immediately out of college and set out for success in my early twenties.
What I lacked in experience I made up for in determination. What set me apart is that I worked harder than anyone else I knew, and I loved the area I worked in, since I’d grown up here. I built my real estate network piece by piece because I loved meeting people and helping them fulfill their dreams. I find great satisfaction in finding a home for a family where their kids can grow, along with their wealth.
To me, real estate isn’t just property; it’s an investment tool to build wealth. Three months after I became an agent, I bought my first house at the age of 22. Since then, I have continued to invest in real estate and also love helping my clients use investment real estate to build their wealth as well. As a numbers guy, I love crunching the numbers on a property to gauge if it’s a good investment or not. In the 25-plus years I’ve been doing this, I’ve personally bought and sold more than 40 houses, so I have a keen sense of the value of property and how to maximize your assets over time.

I'm sure that finding a reliable agent will be a major concern to you in finding real estate. Well, you have found your man in Dave Huddle. He will knock himself out on your behalf as he did for me. I was concerned that, given my paltry ability to pay, that I might get short shrift from an agent. Well, I was wrong. Dave knocked himself out for me as I'm sure he will for you. He went well above what you might expect from an agent. He arranged my home inspection. You might expect that but then he came to the property with me and we reviewed the comments from the inspector by looking ourselves. Dave had many helpful comments. Having ascertained that I was concerned about heavy lifting given the fact that I am superannuated and impecunious, he got a pickup and a friend to help and moved me in. He also went out and got a quote on the insurance on my behalf (by the way, I did not solicit this kind of effort). He has also shown concern about how I am doing since then, unlike what you might expect. I think I would be past history to most agents. He is also articulate and well informed on many subjects and is a great conversationalist. You should enjoy his company. In short, SIGN HIM UP!
Such a great experience! This was our second time buying and selling a home with Dave Huddle and I can honestly say I wouldn't want to go through any real estate transaction without him. In both cases we had unusual circumstances that required special attention and unique considerations. The first time around was in an extremely hot sellers market with steep competition. With creative problem solving and deep knowledge of the industry, Dave was able to secure a contract on the home we wanted even though 18 other buyers had submitted offers the same day. The second time we found our dream home before we had even considered placing our other house on the market. It was a whirlwind process with no guarantee that our house would go under contract in time to get a contract on the house we wanted. But thanks to his help, it all came together! In both situations Dave was able to skillfully bring the deals together through timely, intentional interaction with the other agents and creative problem solving. A little more information about me: I was born and raised in Denver. I attended elementary, junior high, and high school in Jefferson County and Denver. I married a short time later and I felt lucky that Colorado would remain my home, and that I would be able to raise my sons in this beautiful state.

Hi! I’m Mark Skelton. I was born and raised in the Denver metro area and spent my childhood growing up in Lakewood and Jefferson County on the west side of Denver.
During my youth, I was a member of the Westernaires, a nonprofit youth organization that teaches horseback riding and team involvement. For the past 15 years, I’ve been a volunteer instructor for the Jefferson County youth group.
